The “Hand-Warmer”
Here’s a new shape I’m working on. It’s called the hand warmer.
While the Handwarmer pipe is designed to help smokers battle the cold, it’s also a nod to a pipe tradition that dates back to the 19th century: the nose-warmer pipe. The nose-warmer, as its name implies, is a small, compact pipe designed to rest against the smoker’s nose, keeping the smoke away from the wind and providing a closer, more concentrated smoking experience. However, as many smokers know, the nose-warmer’s size can come with its own set of limitations—namely, it’s often too small to comfortably grip for extended periods, especially during the winter.
The Handwarmer pipe takes inspiration from the same concept of enhancing comfort and warmth but addresses the issue from a completely different angle. Rather than focusing on warming just the nose or face, the Handwarmer focuses on keeping your hand warm by making the pipe itself an ergonomic tool. It’s built to be held comfortably, with just the right amount of weight and shape to reduce strain on the fingers, palms, and wrists. The pipe’s contours make it easier to hold onto without having to clutch it tightly, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable smoking experience.
